Who sets up the receptionist?

On Dialbox’s Core, Pro and Max plans, you do: start the 7-day trial, add your business knowledge, hours and booking preferences, hear a test call, then forward your number. Its Managed plan, from C$999 a month, adds a success manager, documents imported before launch and integrations planned with your team. Infold is managed on every plan: we write your greeting and approved answers, set your urgent rules, connect your calendar where it can be connected, test it with you and keep tuning it from real calls.

Where is call data stored?

Dialbox is a Canadian company — Neon Fox Inc., with its head office in Ontario — and its privacy policy describes PIPEDA safeguards for data that leaves Canada. In its section on storage locations and Canadian residency, the policy says “App data is stored and processed outside Canada” and that Dialbox “does not provide exclusively Canadian data residency”; an earlier section lists both Canadian-based servers and US-based data centres. Infold stores call data in Canada by default; live call steps — the phone line, speech, AI model and voice — use the providers on Infold’s subprocessor list (to be published before launch) unless you choose Canada-only processing, which keeps every step in Canada. If residency matters to your clients, get each provider’s answer in writing.

How do the prices compare at about 100 calls a month?

Dialbox Core is C$129 a month for 100 AI-handled calls. Infold is C$699/mo billed yearly (C$8,388) or C$999/mo month-to-month for 100 handled calls a month. Both count calls rather than minutes, and neither counts spam or short abandoned calls. The difference is the service around it: Infold’s price includes building your receptionist, connecting your systems and ongoing tuning. Dialbox’s own managed option starts at C$999 a month.

What happens when you go over your calls?

Dialbox doesn’t charge overage automatically: owners and admins get alerts at about 70%, 90% and 100% of the call pool, there’s a small grace buffer, and sustained high use usually leads to an upgrade or a Managed review. Infold charges C$4.99 for each extra handled call. We alert you at 80 and 100 calls, and we never charge more than C$499 of extra calls in a month without your OK.
