Who builds the receptionist, and who keeps it right?

With Goodcall, you do, with help from Gabi, its AI agent builder. You describe your business or hand Gabi your website; Gabi writes the greeting, questions and steps and runs practice calls; you publish when you’re happy. With Infold, we build it with you — your greeting, approved answers and urgent rules, connected to your calendar where it can be — test it on calls like yours, then keep tuning it from real calls after go-live. Pick Goodcall if you enjoy owning the setup; pick Infold if you want it handled.

Can Goodcall answer a Canadian business line?

Yes, by forwarding, but its own numbers are US-only for now. Goodcall’s FAQ says its numbers are “local US numbers today” and that toll-free, Canadian and international numbers are “not yet” available. You can forward your existing Canadian line to a Goodcall number; Goodcall notes that whether forwarded minutes cost extra depends on your carrier and plan. With Infold you also keep your number and forward calls when you choose.

Where is call data stored?

Goodcall’s privacy policy says its services are “operated in the United States and intended only for Users located in the United States”, and that information is transferred to and processed in the US. Its home page lists SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance, and it signs a HIPAA business associate agreement on the Scale plan and Enterprise. Infold stores call data in Canada by default; live call steps — the phone line, speech, AI model and voice — use the providers on Infold’s subprocessor list (to be published before launch) unless you choose Canada-only processing, which keeps every step in Canada. Whoever you choose, ask where each part of a call runs: the phone line, speech recognition, the AI model and storage.

What does each cost for about 100 calls a month?

Goodcall Starter is $79 a month for 100 unique callers — about 150 calls, by Goodcall’s own estimate — with no setup fee; the page doesn’t name a currency. Infold is C$699/mo billed yearly (C$8,388) or C$999/mo month-to-month for 100 handled calls a month, in Canadian dollars plus tax. On price alone, Goodcall wins. Infold’s price pays for a team that builds your receptionist, connects your booking system and keeps tuning it.
